STG16-L is equipped with latest Semtech LORA-RF communication unit, allowing it to communicate Data concentrator unit (DCU) and Handheld meter reading unit situated up to 1km away. LORA is a 2-way wireless solution that complement M2M cellular infrastructure, and provide a low-cost way connect smart meters to network infrastructure. The gas meter is manufactured by stringent international standards and the central measurement unit has been supplied and proven by over 50 million service connections in the past 10 years as an ideal revenue protection and customer management controller.
